Our Approach

What is Therapeutic Coaching?
Neurodiverse Paradigms uses a strength-based and trauma informed therapeutic framework, to support clients in recognizing and working with their unique nervous system and recognizing how it has changed over time. We believe that an attuned therapeutic relationship offers the opportunity to resource the embodied self and brings more conscious awareness to levels of capacity where we can then begin to access meaningful change.
When there is access to safe experiences of connection, self-regulatory practices such as breath awareness, somatic resourcing, compassionate mindfulness and ‘parts work’ can allow for more sustained access to our unique life force.
This coaching model deeply supports meaningful change, growth and connection.
Central to our model of care is inviting clients to begin to access a felt (embodied) sense of here-and-now safety, which will, over time, expand the window of affect (emotional and sensory) tolerance, to meet daily challenges with flexibility, regulation and most importantly, self -compassion.
Neuroscience has shown that when we feel supported and safe (enough) in the here-and-now, we can begin to turn toward ourselves and others in more authentic/attuned ways. To re-attune to our emotional body compassionately and to create new neural pathways that are then choices away from well-worn pathways of depletion and overwhelm, is the invitation during our time together.
When we consciously access more micro moments of self-compassion, we can slowly and mindfully access more embodied experiences of relational ease and flow.
Neurodiverse Paradigms therapeutic coaching is collaborative. Our approach is deeply integrative as we share with our clients multiple, valid, therapeutic frameworks, that can offer meaningful, client-centred resources that align and support your lived experience. Our aim is to collaboratively build supports that feel meaningful and affirming to you.
